Carrsmith is considerate enough to NOT have you drop your car off and then wonder when it will be repaired. Nice system of using "reservations", more like time blocks, so there's some predictability for repair time. Also, the shop is efficient and thorough. To make sure your vehicle maintenance isn't overlooked, they do a complete check on repair and servicing schedules to make sure you don't miss warranty schedules. Seemed like all the customers I met in the shop were also very pleased with the service and attention.

Great place as long as you get the recommended repairs. I have had great experiences on the two occasions when I did. When I didn’t, the energy of the interaction is no longer pleasant. I was repeatedly pushed to have the work done after I immediately said no to repairs that were more than the value of the car. One of the recommended deficiencies was a lot more noticeably “deficient” when I received my car back. After just sitting in their garage for a week. I assume that was to emphasize I needed that work done. Slightly more expensive, but consistent with other, factory certified luxury car mechanics. Lastly, as a business owner, I can say it appears the owner genuinely cares about his business. That’s definitely important.

On Thursday, May 7th, 2026, while returning home to Tallahassee from a doctor's appointment in Winter Park (Orlando area) my car began overheating and stopped running completely at the intersection of 34th St and Williston. AAA took my vehicle to Carsmiths and I dealt with a very nice young man by the name of Charles (I think that was his name. He gave me his card but I've misplaced it.). He informed me that he was the manager of the shop. It was late in the day by the time I got there and they were going to be closing soon. Charles, however, was very patient and took his time informing me of my options. After doing a cursory examination of my engine I was informed that my issue was most likely related to my radiator. I let him know that my radiator had been replaced in the recent past and since it appeared that my issue was most likely radiator related and I knew that my radiator was most likely under warranty he suggested I call my mechanic in Tallahassee and see what my options were. As it turned out my issue was covered by a warranty if I was able to to get my car back to my mechanic in Tallahassee. Once again I called AAA and told them I was needing a tow back to Tallahassee,

We couldn’t be happier with our service and treatment at Carrsmith! Our ‘74 VW convertible was treated to a refresh that has it handling like new! The staff was outstanding, the price was reasonable and it was a delight dealing with the staff. Giving the total experience 5 Stars! Thanks Carrsmith!

I went in to have my sister's car serviced. This is one of the best, and most thorough repair shops in the area, certainly the only import specialist worth trusting. See, this car has been to no less than 4 different shops from Jacksonville to The Villages while in the family. Of all the issues and instances, Carrsmith was the best. I'm writing this review now, because the car was just at a dealership in Winter Park for services, and the experience was so grotesque, that I found myself fondly recalling the professionalism, straight forwardness, and empathy that seems to be the norm at Carrsmith. Then I remembered that I never gave them the flowers, or stars in the case, that they deserve.
